So some madman goes on a killing spree and the fact that he is NOT muslim is considered news. That sums Islam up perfectly.
Within minutes of the blast the media was blaming Islamists, and leaders were starting to re-justify their war on terrorism, so the reference would only be to point out initial reports were wrong.
That was my point. Whenever something bad like this happens-everyone assumes Islamists are at fault and are amazed if it turns out to be someone else. They've caused so much violence over the years that people automatically assume they're to blame whenever something like this happens.
I don't see a problem with that as a 'first assumption', as we all often think of various possibilities at once, but, when it gets written as fact and put on the front page of a best-selling newspaper, then I see a big problem (see today's UK Sun).

Yes, the big difference I see is someone with a gun stopped Loughner. Certainly makes me ponder my own no guns policy though I still think that's the right way for me. It seems Norway has similar gun laws to us in Australia.

I've spend a few hours tracking down this guy and seeing what the hell was he thinking . I would appear that he carried out the attacks to weaken the multiculturalism rulers . He saw the multiculturalism leaders as a gateway for a islamic hegemony and the main factor for the cultural and demographic suicide of Europe . The guy thinks that Europe will survive only the current wave of islamization only if martyrs are willing to sacrifice themselves to the cause . A crude electronic loading gun and @200 projectiles can be manufactured in 1 day by someone withe the skills and some medium investment equipment .
