Internet marketing is a wide open field that's constantly growing and changing. As for the job market. I heard that social media management is growing in popularity. As programming languages like objective-C, which can net a very nice salary if you get good at it. Mobile is getting bigger every day. So if you managed to learn how SMS works that might be a resume booster. Freelance or do free work at first in order to build a body of good work. If you want to earn money online, you can find jobs in odesk, elance, freelancer.net. But I would suggest odesk.
There are so many fields. I particularly enjoy designing websites and promoting them on a side by side basis. I also work with loads of clients, possibly a field you could look into?
If your looking for an online job there are a lot. You can be an Article Writer like I am. In fact you can do a lot. SEO, Internet marketing, affiliate marketing even Day Trading. And since you have a degree it'l be easy for you to get a job online of offline. Know your interest first though.
Read as much as you can here.. I.M is a steep learning curve. Apply what you learn. Its going to take hard word and persistance.
I would suggest Email Marketing or SMS Marketing. Decent way to start, and it requires very little knowledge to get it going even just to make a few bucks.
