    Hello,

My site Free Software Downloads Archive is 3 months and a half old and I managed to get a PR 3 on the homepage. The SERPS are still very low, like 150 / day.

I am interested in a good strategy for a site with many products. I mean, what keywords to find and improve the rankings? The site can have 40.000 products and you want to be found for each of them? Which is the correct strategy?

Start with making sure that your site has unique content and quality content for visitors. From there to increase your ranking start building links, try and get quality high PR backlinks. Also try article submissions and social media bookmarking throughout the linkbuilding process. For 3 and a half months, PR 3 is pretty good, good luck!

i don't think you are going to find any specific keywords for your site. cause your each product have several keywords. and your site must get tons of keywords. but i think starting with the most popular product of your site is better. forget about the others. just work for 2/3 products. and select 2/3 keywords. it will give you good result.
    thanks

Many products give the advantages of targetting lots of keywords, you could write several articles reviewing the products and submit them to the likes of Ezinearticles, and Goarticles

Article Submission and some press release will be great helpful for a website with huge no. of keywords. And as previous fellow told target 2-3 most common keywords to work for. I am agree with his thought.

You can make a blog and link to each of your products in each post. You can spread out the links into different blogs too, so it won't be too obvious to Google.
