why we are doing lots of bookmarking for seo?

    why we are doing lots of bookmarking for seo? but we all know that only one bookmark on one reputated site will give us benefit for crawling.. But I really don't know why we are doing 1000 and 1000 social bookmarking for our site's traffic..

    LOL! It's not about crawling, It's about search engine ranking. We do bookmark not for the sake of our site to be crawl but to get more backlinks to have high Search Engine Ranking. High SE rank = More Visitors = More $$$ :D

    It is very useful for our site because many sites are not at time published so we have many submitted in many site in feature other sites are approved the published our sites so traffic will be maintaining for our site.

    Are you asking why we are putting more than one bookmark on the same sites? I have heard that this was not in the best interest as well for PR, but I can see how it will increase the opportunity to be seen which result in more traffic back to your sites.

    The more links we spread around the web the more chances we have of getting into Google's eye. Then when someone searches for our particular keywords our site will rank higher because of the links that come to your site and all. A good number of backlinks are really useful to rank well in the SERPs.

    The benefit of social book marking are:

    our site easy indexed by search engine

    our site get quality backlink

    our site get traffic from social book marking like stumble upon , digg , delicious so and so....

    so we should not left any chance when we want good ranking of our site in search engine.

    Yes you are right it's not about crawling of a website. More social bookmarking means lots of visitors and lots of traffic which will obviously increase the page rank of your website. More visitors is better then less so why shouldn't we do more social bookmarking dear.

    It's simple. It's more about promotion. Let the public know about your site. To increase your traffic, to increase your site's ranking and be on top of any Search engine result page. Also, you can't afford not to compete from your competitors.
