Is Pagerank important for SEO?

Having a site with high PR does not automatically include you in the first page of search engine rankings. Having said that, I would say I'd rather have a PR1 page that is in the top 10 in search rankings than have a PR5 page that is in the 5th page of the search results. Although, people do look at the PR of the site's homepage to know how well it is recognised by Google.

 

page rank is plus point for your website but seo deliver traffic to your website you need to work on seo to become famous...

as far as my experience goes with seo i have seen less pr websites rank higher in SERPs than high pr websites.

you should focus on back-linking which will help you to get SERPs .

 

If your site have high organic visitors then your site PR will increase. I think there have no effect of PR on search engine ranking.

If u mean paid PR then i think it would not be helpful for long. Google puts ur link on the no.1 for 2 or 3 days or as per contract and then puts it atr the very low rank from where u will need a lot of struggle to bring it in top 10 or even top 20

I would also have to say that PR is only one of the good factors for you to consider but not the only one to consider. There's the SERP, Traffic, bounce rate etc. that indicates your overall success for seo and not only google page rank.
