I think india and philippines is almost the same. Or it should be the same. $300 here is just okay.. I mean you have a good food and everything everyday and live without any problems here in terms of financial. Also a $3 here income here everyday is okay for a family with a simple life.
Indians on average are becoming wealthier, lot of economic development is being poored into India. Land prices in places like Mumbai are only increasing.
Yeah the US retracts to being poor as Indians overall become richer. The jobs where never meant to help the rest of the world do the USA's work. When I say that I mean there are way too many jobs being done over seas =ing no jobs here.
What about the 7.5 million people that live in Chennia? What would $300 USD do for them. For a family of 4 or 5 ?
The answer depends on where they are living and if they own the place or rent it. Housing rents are very high in bigger cities in India. Even a small 2 room apartment, kilometers away from the city's center costs, $100-$300 a month. Plus a family of 4 needs at least $200 a month for basic needs like food, electricity and other basic needs. Healthcare and education costs extra. $300 is not enough for a family to live a decent life in a big city like Chennai.
