I would like to take this opportunity to wish all Muslims on DP a belated Eid Mubarak on the occassion of Eid al-Fitr (1st Shawwal 1427H) a few days ago (Tuesday, to be exact).

I should point out that for all their talk of "freedom of religion" and "freedom of expression", you will never see Eid al-Fitr being celebrated as a national holiday in any Western nation. That is as opposed to the Muslim nations which allow for holidays such as Christmas or Diwali to be declared as a national holiday :D

Thats news to me and millions of others. I guess this group of 300 million didn't have a clue that muslim holidays aren't allowed to be celebrated in the states.

Of course, if the celebration involves beheading of infidals, then I could see why.

P.S. is he also the inventor of EID's maybe he should run for pres. (see Gore)

No need to project your Islamophobia upon the rest of the Muslim world.

Oh yes "Western nations' are notoriously intolerant of Muslims and their holidays whereas Islamic nations are quite the reverse. :p

This is why westerners emmigrate en masse there and Muslims don't emmigrate to Europe and the US.

I don't "fear" Jews and I do not think I mentioned anything about Jews here, so don't divert the topic. Red herring argument.

I wouldn't have said anything but he had a stupid remark in there about how it can't be celebrated in the west. Go back and read his first post then and tell me he wasn't begging to be answered. The other EID thread had no ill will written in it did it? Did it get ill will back?
