Google Trend in SEO

    I just want to know how does Google trend is helpful in the field of SEO. What is its use?

    Trends allows you to see how the popularity of a term varies with time, it reflects the seasonal variations. Type in semrush " St. Valentines Day" and you will see what I mean.

    exactly. Here's some exact match search numbers:

    valentines day gifts 18,000
    electric heaters 8,100
    skis 18,100
    snow shoes 6,600

    Looks good, but a little common sense will tell you that's not happening. At least not in the US. A look at the local trends tells a different story. The search numbers are a 12 month avg.

    The Google Keyword tool gives an estimate (remember not exact) of the trends of the keywords and based on the popularity of the keywords during the last couple of months predicts where the keywords will be in the upcoming months. So I think that it is pretty reliable.
