    Sign up for different link sharing websites also known as social bookmarking. And basically you submit your favorite links and make them public and other people on the sites will see your links. If others bookmark the same links as you then they get more popular and more traffic goes to the links. You also get more value to your site for having a backlink on trusted networks.

    If you have a website and want to promote it or want to increase traffic genuinely then just post your website link in social bookmarking sites with high PR.
