Hi y'all...so is you a northenor? I find northern accents ever so frightful.Y'all do that ole yankee talk.Pushaw.....fiddledee...I think we southern gals talk just fine, don't y'all agree there honeychild?
well we don't talk like not even close what does fiddledee mean and the last part should have been bless your heart darlin
If I had of known that you are lacking in a sense of humor I wouldn't have bothered replying to your thread! And the term "fiddledee" comes from Scarlett O'hara in "Gone with the Wind".But you would have to appreciate humor to get it!
I have never watched or read gone with the wind there for I didn't know so that is why is asked why so snappy
I fall over sideways at some "southern accents" have done so for as long as I can remember, but lately, I am on a tear about how full of shit the US is so the question I pose to this thread is "what do you mean by southern?" Shrimp and Grits?, South of France? I have stood on the stairway(which is still bloodstained) where that was filmed. Nice reference, culture is something not prevalent here. I almost married the chick that took me there and perhaps I should have, but I didn't lol... Nigel
Look at how you answered Johndiv23's post and I'm the one who is snappy! There is a good southern saying that I like."Get your mind right".
You're right, let's get past it.I'm sorry I took you off my friendship/contact list.I'll resend a request and if you accept I'll be happy to have you back on my list o.k.?[o]
Im from the UK and i associate US southern accents with Jerry Springer guests, theres nothing wrong with how they speak, but all tv and films that ive seen of deep south types makes me think inbred, toothless, white trash, no class, mullet having, affair having, birth not officially registered, drinking, not having a well paid job, swamp dwelling, gun holding types. Similar to how a lot of people think us Brits sip tea all day and live in castles and all are well spoken, lol
