    It hurts to see my site loose its page rank, I am sincere in maintaining it but this has happened!

    Yes. Condolences to you! Google has strange ways of doing things ...looks like most people are having this issue :) We have to keep up with it.

    One of my sites slide down but another which was hardly updated got one more point and rose to PR 3.

    Strange is thy name, thy ways... Mr. Google :)

    Same happened with one of my site, dropped from PR4 to PR2... it actually got PR4 few days ago and today suddenly it went back to PR2.

    Don't know what google is up to.

    Yeah, no idea. I've been hearing a lot of mixed reviews about the update. Some have jumped up and some have crawled down...I have a few sites and all seemed to go up though.

    My site's page rank gone up from pr4 to pr5
    It was decreased to pr4 in recent pr update but now again pr5.
    This is unusual pr update by google.

    There is a downward pressure on PR for everyone at every PR update (unless its a new site or page since the previous update)

    I can't recall, but either the average PR is set at 1 or the total PR of the whole www is a fixed amount --- whichever it is, as the www grows, the total amount available for any one page is less

    Also your PR may have just changed from 6.0000000001 to 5.9999999999 which is not much of a differrence.

    Either way, its not worth worrying about.

    It is the result of google panda, your PR may rise again by entering your url to the FB, you twitter etc. I proved it

    In recent pr update yahoo directory was reduced to pr7 from pr8. But than google realized that this is not good thing they are doing. So today again they made yahoo directory as pr8. As a result all sites listed in yahoo directory regain their pr including mine which got back pr5 from pr4(which was lowered during recent update).

    You are right... today one of my site which was graded down to PR2 was again restored to PR3. The other site rose from PR2 to PR3.

    So, guys, check ur PageRank again.
