Hmm, that looks very good, but yeah, I would be more worried about google's ban-hammer due to alteration of their ads. I believe you might want to double check the terms just to be safe, or even just simply ask about it on google webmaster community.

The TOS say you can't change the code of the ad. It doesn't say you can't include it in a div. Interesting workaround.

I only see addition of background shadow, I don't see how that would get the account banned. It looks nice.

That's good. Looks like the adsense beautifier plugin <--- find from google. I think placing a border around ads code is allowed. It's very logic. I wanna apply this code.
    Thank you for share.

what you made is illegal and prohibited by google.

increasing 1% ctr won't make a fortune for you, so its advised to remove the modification you made.

Are you kidding me? 1% is not huge, especially when you might get risks from it.

I think this is altering the Google supplied code and is a violation of their terms.
    This is risky behavior.

You aren't altering any code. If you think about it, anywhere you place your adsense code, it's probably inside a div

    What's your current CTR?

Sorry bud, although it looks pretty.. no improvement to my CTR. I tried it out on a few locations. I think users tend to click on ads that blend with the site, this actually makes it stand out.
