Is Pingbacks worth?

    Guys, anyone... please help to answer my question? :confused:

    I bit confuse about Pings, Trackbacks, comment and Pingbacks

    As a blog admin when we logon to wordpress dashboard you will see other link-notification called Pingbacks, in the term of SEO, is Pingbacks important?

    Pingback help to solve some of the problem like people saw the trackback its automaticall notified to the particular blog or post!

    pinging is actually a process to accelerate the process of crawling. actually people are doing this and if it was not good then why it has that kindof popularity?
