    Yahoo Optimization will happen automatically if you consider google as major target for search.. if your rankings are good in google then it is going to be good in yahoo too.

    Thats not true, lots of sites that are no1 for something in google but rank on the back pages of yahoo... there lots of different techniques.

    Yahoo's algorithm is different from Google so by topic seo is the name of Link Building, Google inspire by small volume of links and yahoo consider PERMANENT Quality Links.

    In my opinion all search engines like Quality Content & Quality Links.

    I think the 3 basics are the same:

    -Quality Content that is updated on a regular basis

    -creating good Back Links

    -using good keywords in your content

    In my opinion, submitting your site to yahoo paid directory, unique and informative conten and then building quality backlinks will help your rank better when it come to yahoo search engine.

    There is nothing new that I learned from this topic, eventhough the question demanded a different answer then what we do to optimize sites in Google. The fact is that no body cares about ranking in yahoo search, everyone believes that if they optimize their website for Google it will automatically rank in Yahoo as well. But no one knows how true is that.

    Yahoo and Google differ slightly in their approach to Search Engines and their ranking of sites. But even though you rank good in Google it is not necessary that you will get good placing in Yahoo. Google ignores the keyword tag whereas Yahoo takes into account many other factors as well.
