CSS designer newbie...thanks

Hi,
I just wanted to ask if anyone could tell me where I can learn CSS design.
You see, I know photoshop and I use a WYSIWYG website designer but I would like to design my own css. I can photoshop it well but what after? I need the complete custom CSS web design. Is it all code? XHTML?

You should use Dreamweaver. In My opinion DW have the best code hint for CSS.

 

Do NOT use Dreamweaver if you want to learn how to do things right.

 

Would you care to argue that statement or at least provide a valid alternative solution .

I have dreamweaver but I wanted to learn from scratch, too much time to learn when I can go the easy way and get to making some money online.

I wouldn't recommend W3 Schools after I saw this http://w3fools.com. But I did learn things from there, so I won't criticise it too much. I suggest you try http://htmldog.com/

 

I second or third htmldog. A good book on CSS is CSS Mastery.

Great to learn some ccs3 as html5 is already running since 2007.
Also install Firebug on Firefox or if you're using Chrome, use the inbuilt capabilities to check what's under the hood of the site by Inspecting Elements (right click, bottom line).

I think CSS3 and HTML5 would be a bit advance to newbie. I like firebug too it help me fixed most of the css error.
