    Hey guys.

I'm having a (new) problem since yesterday.

I uploaded a few GB during the night, using multiupload.com batch uploader, the files were uploaded but not to my account. This is a new experience for me, as i never has problems in the past using this method. I tried to upload some smaller files just a few minutes agor, using even the multiupload.com site, but the siles still dont shoe in my account files list. I have a premium account.

Is there some kind of problem or bug uploading trough multiupload.com?

This is a problem with multiupload not filesonic kiko81 - upload directly to filesonic to avoid this :)
if you want a program which will upload the files for you like the batch uploader try http://www.z-o-o-m.eu :) it's what I use

Deleting inactive files over 30 days i can understand. But my files with 1000+ download count and 5+ sales has been deleted as well, and those files were downloaded everyday.

How do you know if it is a problem with multiupload.com and not a filesonic one?

The possibilty of multiupload uploading was the reason i began using filesonic. I have a old computer and not every uploading program works.

Yup it's a very strange policy with unfortunate side effects - wupload has the same rule. I can't see how it makes sense (for either the filehost or the uploader) to delete active (revenue generating) files. As you say - loads of dead links ain't good for anyone either. The only reason I can think why this would happen is to try to force uploaders to buy premium accounts, but if that's it then the numbers don't stack up too well.
Anyway - it's all been said before - if it's not obvious now then I guess it never will be.

It is obvious that FileSonic ran out of storage space last week and had to do something about it.
Not exactly rocket science to come to this conclusion.
But yeah it sucks if ACTIVE files are deleted - even if you are a free user.

Like said before, if you can not afford buying premium you have chosen the wrong hobby.

    Re: randomnick
I can buy my own premium, don't you think with files over 1000+ download each I can't do that? I am not earning super lot but I earn enough. I used to buy premium every month, but later FS offered to give free premium to me as a revenue generating affiliate. Just did not know that they will delete majority of my files just two days I turned free user while waiting for them to renew my premium.
And yeah it really sucks when files get deleted, especially when it happens to you. Wake up one day and realised all your files gone, on the filehost you have been promoting as the best filehost available and asking people to buy premium to download your files.

    Re: Just A wag
It is ridiculous like what you said, if files cannot be recovered. It seems like FS has forced me to stop generating revenue for them. Maybe they don't need so many good affiliates anymore.

It scares me every time you write that Hish.

Either sales are counting correctly for all users or all users must send you a PM every now and then just to be sure.

    What is it?
Is sales counting correctly 99,9999% of the time or do we have to send you a PM every now and then to be sure / to get our stats fixed?

Dont get me wrong - I 'love' FileSonic but it cant be right that you 'teach' users to send you a PM.
Either we can trust stats or we cant.

Furthermore... :) it would be nice to know how many users stats you have 'fixed'.
How often does things go wrong?

    BTW:
It seems to me that FileSonic has a few 'ghost' users @ 5000 credits.
    Are those real users?
9 people has had exactly 5000 credits for weeks.
    Seems strange.

    Hi randomnick

You are right... But I just want to look incase he had 10-20 sales a day and then suddenly 0 sales for 8 days...

Now if he had a sale every other day or everyday, then its a different story...

Also need to check if he is a free user and if he is, then he might have many files deleted...

Where do u see those "ghosts" that you are referring to?

Since actual Filesonic people are here, allow me to insist once again with a suggestion : Discount coupons.

An illustration, I share stuff with depositfiles links, and depositfiles has discount coupons.
Mentioning under my depositfiles download links that depositfiles has a 10% discount on 6-months and yearly premium accounts with the ...xxx... coupon code, I generate around 20 additional sales per month with that coupon.

That's an idea filesonic could use.

    I do not see ghosts.
But I saw a movie about someone seeing ghosts once :)

I just find it strange that a few people has exactly 5000 credits and no movement for weeks.

    Hi

If the file is popular and gets downloaded right before the 30 days end, then you get 48 hours of activeness... and if it keeps getting downloaded, the 48 hours resets..

So if your files were deleted, then obviously, they didnt get any downloads in the past 48 hours and the upload date was over 30 days ago
