Is it true that Facebook is launching a Search Engine?

Wow I would love to see if FB makes a search engine lol...

 

lol haven't heard anything but it would be cool and funny if they did. Somebody that could actually (financially) compete with Google would make things better for us and cool because Google copied facebook with +1. I think they could compete because facebook is the number one site and they would just put their search in there and people would use it. A lot of the people that get on Facebook are usually on there for long periods of time soa search would be kinda easy for them to come out with and actually compete.
I hope they do.

Yes, you made right points that its difficult for Facebook to keep their users in contact with them because Google also has launched the Google +1 but i could not find the links of Google +1

Haha, It would be very interesting if it did happen, Google venturing into Facebook's territory and Facebook venturing into Google's territory. I'm pretty sure things will end with patent law suits left and right. It would be interesting... But from things I read about product line up and what each company may have, Google seems to have better product line up vs facebook. Also since just yesterday Google+ hit 10million users according to: newsinabox.net/1674/10-million-users-on-google.html (sorry, cant' seem to link yet)

Facebook itself is full of bugs, how do you expect them to make a viable search engine?

I cant believe this. It`s impossible to make a search engine. Maybe will try a new intern search engine. They also have a videocall on facebook now (with Skype association)

 

Yes, that is already happening, Google Plus is already being tested by a lot of people and they are heading to WW3, how interesting, battle of the Digital Age...where there's no bullets but endless information, programs and software. Game On!

it’s not as farfetched as you may think we all know Facebook is merging with Skype and Microsoft own Skype so think to yourself who is MS and FB's biggest competitor yep that's right Google and what is the most used service of Google yep that's right search if I was them I would be thinking of making a deal with yahoo and saying good night to Google
they may not be as good as Google on their own but united they could become the top dog. But that's if they can get round the monopoly laws.

Facebook now needs to concentrate on its core business mainly due to some interest that Google+ is gaining, need not be that google+ might win over facebook, but you never know peoples mentality...
