I need immediate help to get start SEO onpage

    I am new to SEO Onpage,as a first step I need to transfer my client web site files
    to download or edit,already downloaded FTP software but it says Host name seems
    to be not valid I am not too sure, i can keep the Host name according to the forums
    rules can any one help me general format of FTP access format of Host name or server name.Please its, urgent!!!

    What you have is enough to FTP dependant on security, you'll need a digital key if it's SFTP. PM me the details and I'll test them for you.

    Hostname is usually "localhost". You can try this and see if it helps.

    hi Prasseo,

    it will be really helpful for you if you can construct your questions properly. the thread says that you need help with ON Page SEO which is absolutely fine but when i go through your post i find that you are having problems with your FTP. constructing your questions will definitely help you to get your quaries sorted out more quickly and efficiently. :)

    YOUR FTP SOLUTION :-

    1. to download / upload files in the server we use FTP based software. you can download (Filezilla Client) which is a FREE software which is used to perform the task.
    2. hostname :- is the place where you mention the route of the server.
      eg: ftp.domainname.com / IP address (any of the two will do).
    3. username :- it is an identification used by a person with access to the server.
    4. password :- it is a secret string of characters that is used for authentication to the server.
    5. you will have to insert the details in their respective places to to get access to the server. you can get these details from your hosting service provider.
    ON PAGE SEO :-

    for you on page SEO you will have to do a keyword research which can be done using the google keyword tool. after you have done your keyword research then you will have to insert the keywords in your website in a proper manner.

    1. you should insert the keyword in the title of the page
      <html>

      <title>Keyword</title>
</head>

    2. you should enter the keyword in a keyword in the meta keyword section.

    <meta name="keywords" content="Keywords"/>
   </head>

      HTML:
    3. you should give a good description also. this is not considered by google anymore but it helps to attract visitors in the website. try to keep the description within 160 characters.

    4. When you start writing your content use <h1></h1> tag in the beginning and place the keyword there also.

   <h1>Keyword</h1>

    5. when you are writeing your content in the page try to use your keyword 2% - 3% else google will find your content spammy. Do try to write the content with 300 words. :)

    Thanks, for your sincere reply its clear now after a long run thru forums, I hv sorted my FTP problem, Downloaded Filezilla now i am able
    to transfer files.I would like to Thank again for your great description.
    Coming to Onpage solution I hv already inserted Google Analytics tracking code into my client site i think that it will take 3 to 4 days know the Report status
    now i need to go thru with google keyword tool right.

    My client 's requirement is to reduce adwords increase in organic link builds,i need to continue with the same keywords or needt o change keywords
