Yo, I know all this stuff - and every religion has it share of this. Why do you care? Personally, Mormon garments are kind of comfy.:D

Like I've said, I've done the research, and I think that Mormonism is BS like I said. It defies logic that people who follow the word of an 18 year old kid without proof the golden tablets exist because they were conveniently buried.

I'm not going to your disbelief, which I share. I'm going to your calling for civilized debate on the one hand, while calling someone's beliefs "bullshit" on the other. I'm going to your ill-informed condemnation of hunting, for instance, as an abrogation of "karmic law" when you regularly chow on meat. I'm calling for you to be straight about what you do, and don't stand for, and to look at yourself before judging someone else.

Then why are you here bashing... how is it different from any other religion? Mohammad for example. If you have ever read the bible, you would know there are far more "fairy tale"ish stories in there. I.e. talking donkies, visions, world-wide floods... yet millions of people, including me believe it all. Please do us all a favor and leave if you have nothing constructive and respectful to say. We all agree, calling the mormon religion BS using false, disproved evidence is unfair and rude. Please, leave my thread, Im asking you nicely

What - a couple of weeks?

    October 13, 2006:

    Meat is Good

Congrats - but you argued rather forcefully in the meantime:

Now, back to topic: you live at home, with your folks, and as I understand it, you haven't yet passed two decades on this earth. You seem like a good young man. I would only hope that as you continue to grow, and to think, that you look first to yourself before judging every manner of lifestyle not in keeping with your personal ethos. Feel free to tell me to fuck off, of course, which is what I did when I left home at 15 to "make my way."

It's OK mate. I was the one out of order. My best friend is doing a mission for LDS too next year when he's 19, but for 2 years.

I find it astonishing that you left at 15, I'm going to be here quite a while as I'll be staying at home throughout my 4 year uni course. Yeah, I try to remain balanced and think before I speak (or type), just gets a bit tough somtimes to stick to an ehos :)

I think it's great you are at home, buddy - I really do. Best of luck to you during your school years and after. I applaud your searching mind, and wish you well.

You get offended when somebody criticises your religion yet a few pages back you were mocking Jehovas Witnesses...

In my opinion all religions are as stupid as each other, religion survives on the basis that you cannot prove that god doesnt exist, and if that isnt stupid I dont know what is.

I asked one question about them (it might have come across as slightly sarcastic) but then took interest in what the reply was and actually was facinated by his response because it cleared up a common mis-conception of their religion. I didnt call the religion BS... Im sorry if I offended anyone though

Yeah "J-Dubs" are pretty fun to bash with. What I dont understand about their religion is, if they believe that only 144,000 people are accepted into heaven... why would you go out and try to convert people? I would hold my place in heaven greedily :D

So there are only a few slots left huh? So once again, why would i want to give up my slot by knocking on doors? lol ok, ok, ill bite, what are they waiting for?

    Pages 13 and 14

    Ah, thanks.

I'm an atheist who is going back to living as a dim light under a bushel. It's too full of spiritual light out here for my dark tastes.:D

I met 2 mormon missionaries in the Andes during a brief trip to Merida, VE. They seemed nice enough, but their Spanish was horrible and wore crappy suits. Go local or at least casual. They looked foolish. Best of luck with your travels.
