Ok Guys, I made a Check withdrawal request from AP (AlertPay) even before they have temp. suspended check withdrawal. But some how they let my check withdrawal process (that is what my account says) to go through. I asked the CC of AP, they said even though check withdrawal is suspended they have processed my check. But the PROBLEM is it has been more than 1 month now, and I havent got my check. So my qn. is HOW LONG does it take for a Alertpay check to reach India?? My AP acc status says check withdrawal as completed on 10-June. Should I wait for some more time or consider that the check has been lost midway and ask them to cancel the check? Or worst they might not even have issued the check? (as at that time they have stopped check withdrawals, and my account faultily says it is 'completed') The amount is a little less than a 1000$, and I'm worried!! Alertpay India users guide me!!
Alertpay Checks are valid for 60 days only. No need to worry. You can cancel your check by submitting support ticket to Banking section. They will refund your money back.
Thanks WebMasterPlus for your reply. I have submitted a support ticket, but havent heard from them yet. Waiting for their reply
BTW, are you from India? Have you received alertpay checks? How long does it take for it to reach India??
You are most welcome. You have to wait for 7 to 10 day. Alertpay receives 1000s of tickets daily so it will take some time for your request to be fulfilled.
The postal system in India sucks. I once received a cheque from the US 28 days after it had left my client's office. It then took the officials here 12 days to "process" it - after which it was sent back to the US for verification. I got paid after 71 days. (Not kidding). Oh, and all of this for a measly $300. The dudes at SBI even charged me Rs.500 as "processing fees" - bastards. So, getting back to your current dilemma - I'd suggest you find someone you can trust in the US someplace - get the cheque sent to him, and he can probably send the money to you through Western Union or something. The whole exercise would cost you about $20 for receiving $1,000 - but the USD vs. INR exchange rates that you will get through Western Union are going to be way, way better than what any web payment processor would offer you. I'm telling you from personal experience.
