was thinking about submitting a site to this directory but then checked google to see how many pages it had indeded

Can't say it would be worth the cost if they only have five pages indexed...geez

 

Your information is incorrect. the site has 2,170 pages indexed by google. You were using the wrong command to check indexed pages.

 

I think maybe that is not accurate I just saw 2101 from a G data center

He didn't search it right. You need to prefix the search with "site:"

 

You should search it in this way to get the actual no. of pages indexed :

site:http://www.alivedirectory.com

The way u had searched gave 979 results for http://forums.digitalpoint.com
But actual pages indexed is 329,000

Also, searching with Yahoo! rather than Google gives much better results. Google purposefully shows misleading backlink information.

 

Exactly, and also g Lazy Bots are getting slower day after day, so you'd better use any online tool to check on the real backlinks count.
