I have owned a HTC Desire HD for some time now and couldn't be happier. However - I have never owned an iPhone and wondered if there are any members who have owned both brands and which they repfer?
I own a Samsung Galaxy 4G and although I haven't owned an iPhone or HTC phone I'll say this - A friend of mine owns an HTC EVO. Another friend has an iPhone 4. After playing around with both I decided that I the HTC was better for my tastes. Not only is Android developer-friendly, but there's way more customization options. Apple tends to lock out its users for the fear of them making a stupid mistake (I don't think I've ever seen someone with a customized task bar on their Apple laptops on desktop threads). Although the interface is nice looking on the iPhone it's also very... bare. Like using one of those laptops made for children. And that's what Apple's good at - making things simple. And marketing. Definitely marketing.
Agreed, and the stores definitely help that. Though in all honesty, I own a Macbook Air and love it, I really do.
I think everyone has their own level of comfort around technology. Apple just makes their products for the everyday people who don't want to fidget with options and such. It's kind of a "get in, get out, go on with life".
It has been because in the early days Mac screens were calibrated better than a PCs monitor. Though the PC world caught up and are now producing monitors that work just as well as the Macs. The only real advantage a Mac has over a Windows/Linux machine is when you design for print, so unless you're in the business of creating posters or printing shirt designs then you don't need a Mac. Photoshop is Photoshop no matter what machine runs it. If the person behind it is inexperienced then it's going to show, no matter how much you spend.
I don't think so.Apple is at the top in Electronics Gadgets.Apple looks, function, and applications are better than any company gadgets.
The reason for that is earlier Macs used Power PC architecture which had better FPU performance than their x86 counterparts. So it performed better than an average PC in graphics department. Now when apple is using the same core processors from Intel as any other PC does, that advantage is long gone. But since many graphics designer were using Macs when they started, they are familiar with OSX interface, if they shift to PC there will be a new learning curve for windows. So you see it has nothing to do with better performance anymore, its just a matter of choice. And you sir, are completely uninformed, and have no idea what you are talking about. (in short, you are just like 80% of the iPhone users ) Apple is only at the top of mp3/mp4 player niche with iPod. Everywhere else its way behind it's closest competitors.
I have used both HTC and Iphone Htc is perfect in all aspects and i think the only problem with Iphone is that it comes with lot of restrictions but if you know how to beat them there is nothing better then Iphone.
Personally I don't like apple, due to them locking things down to their own way, and I went for a HTC phone when I moved to smartphones. I used to have the HTC tocuh dual which had windows mobile 6, and though the OS was bad, it was a good quality handset. Then I got my first Android phone which was the HTC hero, and I was really impressed with the handset and the OS. Currently I have the HTC desire HD, and I have had it for about 4-5 months, and I love the phone. I really do appreciate the HTC handsets, and I would recommend them to anyone. I have never got on with iPhones or iPods
