For designers the UX happens every time the boss says “it has to look the same in IE”. It happens every time we have to write custom CSS for IE, and it makes us remember every time we’ve had to Google crap like “box model hack“, “white space bug“, or “conditional comments“.

Use IE 8-9 Any latest version.
If you have any bugs then you must also install active-X control which will sure resolve your problem.
Well, its nice if you use latest version otherwise there are many browsers which can resolve your problem.
    chrome, mozilla, safari etc etc.

And immediately become years behind all other browsers in modern standards and practices.
You mean resolve hackers problems. ActiveX unlocks the door to your system for anyone who wants in. Great idea!

IE is dying. It can't keep up. It holds back the web. No one should ever use IE.

Internet Explorer generally is not recommended to use for many issues you mentioned here, but after trying IE9 I think Microsoft are getting on the right way of providing somehow more stable browser than the previous versions. May be IE10 will be some good browser like Firefox or Chrome.

And AGAIN a person who either can't read English or doesn't understand it. READ MY LINK below. And that's only about IE9. IE10 TODAY is behind all other browsers in modern standards and practices.

Internet Explorer has some compatibility issues. Some websites might not be handled well as other browsers. Bad support for XHTML, Onclick attribute issues with Javascript, and many other issues such as Standards compliance

Good Opinions on Website Browsers particularly Internet Explorer.

still we have to optimize our sites for all mayor browsers, check world browser stats - and you'll see and that's sad because I just can't imagine how such big company as microsoft couldn't create decent browser, latest version is good, no doubt, but still a long way to be as good as chrome or firefox

Rightly said! He is both incompetent and clueless.

Can you justify this? How can you say Chrome is insecure for online transactions and is just for the newbie?

The 20,000+ employees at Google, all of whom use Chrome, would disagree.

Let's hope not. Microsoft is known for destroying organizations it buys. Skype is its current victim which already has had problems. But Mozilla is a non-profit organization. I'm not sure they could be bought by anyone.

the versions of IE are not consistent because my friend is a web designer and when he lays out a web page, it looks and works normally on IE7 and IE8 but it becomes a mess when it is browsed on IE6

It's not about it being slow, the problem is Microsoft hasn't really been following standards until just recently, and as you all probably know we have to put in much more work in order to create the same experience across all browsers, and as someone else mentioned its just troublesome and frustrating..

But Internet Explorer has been improved since the release of IE9, and now theres a beta available for IE10.. Still I think Chrome, Safari, Firefox & Opera are generally updated to support the latest in web standards & are the better browsers out there..
