Well I can say that from now on PR should not be the factor to submit in directories because you can go through the content of webleach.com which is pr9, and the content is not that much helpful or useful they have just placed all those links who have paid them $$$ ...
What's wrong with the directory anyway? It has a custom template and original content. Ignoring how it got the PR, the directory is trying to be of value.
How can you ignore how it got the PR? You're saying that as long as it looks good on the outside it doesn't matter what's on the inside? You care less about their integrity or dishonesty and more about the looks? You don't think it's just an attempt to take advantage of the fools chasing PR? You obviously don't mind being scammed...
So was I mistaken in assuming that to build a good directory, you should have a custom template and unique content?
Alright! I am dumb enough to have submitted some of my sites to almost all the directories listed in this thread with dodgy high PR links I did check the back links and the domains didint look like dropped domains so I thought there wasent much to loose even if they passed on the PR for say 3-4 months because it would be hard to buy such high PR back links from other sources but now I feel cheated having looked into this closely thanks to some of the posts in this thread. Would some one please point me to a resource where I can get a list of good genuine paid directories please? Directories with genuine traffic and no casino and pharmacy listings? Do they really exist?
I would check out directory critic's niche section http://www.directorycritic.com/niche-directories.html don't submit to sites based on pr, submit to related sites.. you'll get more bang for your buck
