Only 11 players in the team were fit. An Indian player was the 12th man for West Indies....they have this major drawback as of now.

Pakistan lost to NZ and NZ qualifies for Semis. India lost to WI yesterday. Was interesting match. When last over was being bowled, For a moment I thought that India will win but then the boundary ruined it.

Do India have any chance to reach semi-finals now?

India versus the Aussies is a virtual quarter final to decide who goes through. That will be one helll of a game to watch. Plus The Proteas take on Pakistan today to determine the second semifinalist from Group B

Don't know why R P Singh was played in place of Ramesh Powar? Indian Selectors have gone cuckoo. We are missing Sreesanth badly...:(

The dew factor influenced the decision of playing Powar. If he had played, it mite have been a different story, but there is no use pondering over it now.
Agarkar was a bit wayward towards the end too.

Yeah! Agarkar's last ball was a bit wider and Samuels lofted it for four runs easily. He should've tried yorker.

Yes you are right it was the Dew factor, But the good thing about Powar is he can bat as well. And by the Viru and Bhajji bowled I think we made a huge mistake by not playing Powar in the team. have seen this guy R P Singh he is quite expensive in the last few matches. Selectors should have picked Zaheer Khan in place of R P Singh I guess.

I agree with you 100% the wickets are slow and the batsmen find it difficult when the ball doesnt come on to the bat... so Powar's inclusion would have given India more chances.

No problem with anyone winning the world cup except India. They doesnt deserve a place in even Semi Finals and we all know that. They have never been an consistant performer and all our STAR batsmen fails at same time. I really think that the time has come when we peoples should start encouraging other sports like Tennis where India is doing quiet well. We are playing cricket for more than 30 - 40 years and still we donnt know how to make a winning stratergy. Matches are won by Mental Capabilities rather than STAR performers.

Aussies have just lost a match to the WIndies.... I mean, how often do you see Aussies lose back to back matches???? I would have loved to see India thorugh to the SEMi's... But the Aussies will be on fireworks, and it will take some huge effort to force'em to loose again.

Yesterdays match was towards WIndies right through the second innings.. i knew it from the very first ball.. when I saw IRfan Pathan not capable of swingin the ball... that was it. R P SIngh looked like a half volley...

    by da way.... wheres Kumble:mad:
