need VPS uptime and monitoring help

    Hello every one..

    i have un-managed VPS but i am getting OOM problem so due to this problem my website is mostly down for few hours per day and when i reboot VPS then my website working start back again.

    i have nu-managed VPS which detail below:

    Operating system: Linux 2.6.18
    CPU: GenuineIntel, Intel(R) Xeon(R)CPU E5520 @ 2.27GHz
    Dedicated RAM: 786 MB
    Burstable RAM: 2048 MB
    Parallels Plesk Panel version: 9.5.4
    Web Server: Apache v2.2.3
    PHP: 5.3.6
    MySQL Version: 5.1.56

    can any body tell me which is best unmanaged vps monitoring/uptime software for my un-managed VPS, when my website is down the it automatically reboot and up it.

    For reliable monitoring it makes sense to use offsite located tools or commercial monitoring.

    Finding an off-site monitoring services is easy. But, they can not wake your VPS up once it's down. Monitoring services will alert you when your VPS is down, but you yourself need to wake it up. CMIIW.

    what is your web panel?

    many factors that cause a "server down" :
    1. bad hardware
    2. bad network
    3. bad server configuration
    4. virus / trojan horse
    5. attacked by hacker
    6. spammed / flooded by someone
    try begin to check your log server would be the best first step.
