Cheque number for Deposting Adsense Cheque in Indian Bank

I have received my first adsense cheque in Delhi, India

But this has two cheque numbers as shown in the picture below :


Which cheque number should I fill in the bank deposit slip ?

I am also confused about bank branch of issuing bank. Should I put Citibank, California?

What is this endorsement on the back side of the cheque? Should I write my name and address there?

Use the check no. above at the top and that is fine. Anyways check number does not make a big deal. Just make sure to cross sign in the space provided and put your bank details with signature on the back of the check. I use "Citibank Europe" for all these years and it works fine. It is a local currency check and those things would not matter much. Be sure to cross sign on the back side and mention your account details. It is an account payee check and nothing will happen. If you have a citibank branch in your city then it should clear in a couple of days or so and if there is none in your city then it can take upto 10 days.

 

as long as you sign on back of cheque and write your account number correctly,rest don't matter
You can even write your Girlfriend name in cheque number field in deposit slip and no one will ask you!

Just write "India". Rest doesn't matter.

I just write "Citibank" and never mention the branch or address.

Only thing that you should be careful about is your Name and Account number.

If you are going to deposit the check in a drop-box, mention your account number behind the check. In case the deposit slip gets separated or torn or lost, the bank should know which account the check belongs to.

I just write branch name as Citibank and check number is the one at the bottom of the check.

 

I used the Check number given at the top and got the money.

 

Doesn't really matter! Correct Account No. and name is what they want. That's it!

 

I always write it as Citibank Europe branch. It hardly matters. Even if we write Timbaktoo branch it will still be passed I suppose.

 

Check nos are at the bottom of the check, also known as MICR code. The no on the top is actually payment number generated by Google adsense. Using it we can also track the check when it is send through courier.
