Friends, I have 5 domains with 5 different domain Registrar . Now i am planning to transfer that 5 domains to a single provider. Plz suggest a good domain provider to transfer my all domain . Can i spend money for transfer domain. Suggest Some Good Domain Registrar also what is your opinion about Bigrock.com for domain transfer
Move to Namecheap. They offer free domain transfer, free WhoisGuard protection and an extra year added to your domain for free!
This question has been ask about a zillion times. Please research these forums before asking such a broad question. You need to be specific about what you expect from a registrar. Otherwise you will get recommendations for cheap, expensive, good/bad/indifferent support/interface/services, resellers/non-resellers, us/overseas, etc. It is hopeless (and a waste of time) to answer such a broad question without knowing your requirements.
From NameCheap's website it seems they actually charge $8.99 for the 1 year extension which is really what most Registrar's do. They extend 1yr from the current expiration date so really the transfer price is $8.99. I use Netfirms. They are $4.95 with Promo code "promo495" and they include free whois protection. I have over 200 domains with them.
I used GoDaddy for years. They have a nice platform that is easy to use but they just got to expensive. Netfirms offers the same or more for less money.
GoDaddy seem to send me emails every day of the week with "30% OFF your NEXT ORDER - OMG". I wouldn't dare look at their prices, they must be desperate.
What they did is suck people in with cheap prices years ago and then get them into Automatic Renewal knowing that most people will forget about it and they use promotions to compete with the low cost registrars. GoDaddy is fine if you never pay their full price. Also NEVER consolidate your Domain Name Expiration Dates with GoDaddy unless you talk to a sales person and you have enough domains to negotiate a better rate. I have over 200 domain names. I've used: 1&1 Answerable Globat Netfirms Godaddy ENAMECO Name.com SnapNames Moniker.com EnCirca globat.com namejet.com
Wow. It sounds a little like 1&1. They passed my details onto a debt collection company over £6 or so. Whilst it may have been my fault in terms of not realising it was automatic renewal, it was handled in a disgusting way. I'll certainly be removing my email address from their newsletter record. So yeah, Namecheap is the way to go people.
I hate 1&1. I will never use them again. I had billing problems with them as well. I hate their admin panel and the way you can't see everything in one place.
Aside from these benefits, are there any other advantages of Namecheap? What about the price, is it worthy spending on this domain registrar? Thanks
Finding a good host is far more important than a registrar unless you are planning on selling domains. Some registrars are better suited for transferring domains. They are even less important if you are not using them as your DNS server. That is why I would look at cost, ease of use in regards to their control panal, and support. free WhoisGuard is a nice feature. As I pointed out earlier, Namecheap does not offer free transfer. They charge $8.99 for the 1 year extension as most registrars do.
I recommend name.com. Excellent customer service, great prices and they are different from other registrars. Highly recommended. You can enter the coupon code below to get freewhois every time aswell.
To OP, I have never heard about them before and suggest you to choose reputed Domain Registrar that is ICAN-accreditation at least. There are many options in the market, so you can compare them and choose the best one.
After the news that GoDaddy sold for 2.25 billion I have heard that a lot of people are transferring over to EconomicalDomains.com - I just might try them as well as it is hard to tell what might happen after the new ownership takes hold.
