    Hello all,

I would like to know if there is a way to assign different adsenses ads to different writers on my blog.

My idea is to share with the writers a percentage of the revenu earned via their blog post, but I don't want to user a sharing plugin as I don't want all my writers to open a new google adsense account. I want to use mine but know which writer earn what each month.

I don't know if I'm beeing clear but it would help a lot if you can help,

    Cheers

ok, then you'll have to code a little thing yourself. Add a field in your users profile. For each user, create a CUSTOM CHANNEL in adsense, write down the channel ID number and put it in their user profile. Then when a post is from this user, add the channel ID number in the adsense code. That way you'll know how much each user earned, but honestly that's not good, at least I don't like this way, too much administrative stuff to do. I prefer real adsense revenue sharing for users who have adsense accounts, if they don't have one, I'm not interested in them.

    Hi James,

Thank you for your answer it helps a lot.

You are right, the administrative stuff might take a long time. Maybe I can combine the 2 technics (with revenue sharing) for writers that don't already have a google adsense account yet.

However now I have other questions:
    - Which wordpress plugin is the best for revenue sharing? Which one would you advise me?
    - Doesn't google adsense forbide sharing revenue in its TOS? If it's forbidden, then I might have trouble later down the road no?
    - If my writer doesn't have google adsense, how can he create an account if he doesn't have a website? Or can they show mine? (but I doubt it as it should be one website for one account no?)

    Cheers,
    Nicolas

    - i don't know about wp plugin, i use drupal, but don't use it's adsense module, I've coded the adsense sharing part of my sites.
    - adsense sharing is allowed, even having several publisher id on a same page (anticipating wrong statements saying it's not)
    - depending on their country of residence (if it's a western country) then giving your website in the registration form will be fine. If not they'll be asked to verify site ownership. For western countries it doesn't have to be one site for one account, I know that for sure as I have opened account for several of my friends in france, germany and the US, to work on my site and have blogspot for them, I opened them with my site url in the registration form (of course on my site there is already adsense)

    Hi James,

Thanks again for the clear answers, it helps a lot. As per your website I can see you know what you are talking about.

One last question for you: what happen if one of my writer keeps clicking on his ads (or other ads)... will google ban his adsense account and mine? Only his?

    For other people:
-Does anyone knows a good plugin for adsense sharing... I want it flexible for beeing able to reward the writers with higher % according to their performances (so maybe give them a certain % according to their role).

    Cheers,
    Nicolas

If one of your writer clicks on his own ads, then his account will be banned, not others. If this writer clicks on other ads regularly, his clicks will be discounted, but if it happens really often and that the other ads account doesn't have much clicks other than the fraudulent ones, it will be banned also.
I don't fear those behaviours on my sites, what is much more critical is users submitting content violating adsense's tos, so that's where my main focus is, on moderation.

Raja is a motherfucking spammer, look at his past posting history, I've reported him to the moderators but they did nothing.
