    The new google +1 really impact your site ranking and improve your search results on google search. I also see that its very helpful to promote your site.

    I think plus one is a dud and I'm ready to pull it from my site. I put Google plus one on all 230k pages of a 300k visit/mo site and haven't noticed any result at all. All of the pages when hovered over say '0 people +1'd this'. All other websites I see, the sharing is 90% facebook, 4% tweet, 2% stumble, 1% digg, 1% linkedin, 0% +1. Has anyone had more than 10 plus ones for anything?

    I personally believe that the +1 will soon become a decisive vote in a page's rankings, much like original content and backlinks are currently. I bet that in a year from now all of us will have the +1 widget on our sites.

    Hardly anyone is using it though and there's no evidence suggesting that it affects ranking. A lot of people are saying how much effect it has, but where are the tangible results? I haven't seen ANY effect. If you actually have lots of people clicking on your +1, please send me a link so I can see how high your counter is. Otherwise, my guess is either you are just speculating how important it is, or else you might work for Google. I saw a Huffington Post once that had up to 3! That's sad. And again, after millions of pageviews, zero +1 clicks on this end.

    have you noticed that when you mouse over a link in Google the +1 button activates and shimmers a bit? they are trying to draw attention to the button which could actually HURT your CTR from the SERPs.

    I have had this installed on my forum for a month and have around 200 +1'd pages. It HAS affected rankings in a good way.,

    I don't think they use it as a ranking factor now.

    I think they just test it for now. May be it will become one of ranking factors in future.

    Yes. I would not abuse it though. Once Google+ gets up and running more smoothly, then you will start to see it come into effect more. But before you go off and buy 500 +1's I would try to get them more organically, because Google generally frowns upon that sort of thing and has gotten better at detecting it lately.
