Contest Win $15 - I need a little monster icon designed - guaranteed payment

this isn't bad, but there's something not quite right about it. He looks too happy or something. Also I'm not sure if it's his skinny legs or his scribbly hairy-ness but there's something not quite right. Maybe if he had an angrier mouth, was brown and had a bit of shading he'd look like a stumpy chewbacca with attitude.

 

To me this one looks too much like a dog rather than a monster. I'm trying to think of things you could change but all I can think is it looks like a doggy

Hello everybody. Thanks for all the entries so far. Some interesting examples there.

One thing I'd say tho is that they're all a little similar to each other. I'd like a little variety - I'll be choosing more than one which means $15 for EACH one I like.

I'm going to keep this contest open for another 24 hours (sorry ppl who've already entered, but I promise I'll pay the winners promptly) and I'd like to see some imagination in the future designs. I like whats there but they're all green! Where's the brown ones?!? And what about horns and multiple eyes? What about having cross-eyed monsters? It'd be cool for them to look crazy as well as fun!

I'll be online for a few hours from now so I'll keep checking and posting feedback every-so-often. Thanks to everyone who's having a go at this

 

Okay so here is the revised version:



I tried to incorporate things you mentioned (brown instead of green, horns, more scary looking). And the "C" in the middle was inspired by your chewbacca comment earlier, but it's very easy to remove or change the letter/sign. It seemed like there was a lot of empty space in the middle so I didn't know what to put there. If you have any suggestion about that, please feel free to share it.

Again, 100% vector, totally re-sizable.
May I say this turned out to be a very interesting contest, a lot of great work

Yeah you've a good chance. I'd say your first entry is still my first pick out of all the entries so far. And the one with one tooth is another possible $15 too!
