Hi, I have couple of websites that run on co.cc free hosting domain. But unfortunately, yesterday Google bans the whole domain and now none of my websites are showing in the Google results. So, I want to buy a new domain and want to redirect my previous domain to the new one. Can anyone please guide me with the process of redirecting a website to the new domain, since my domain has Page Rank of 3 and getting good traffic from Google, so I don't want to loose my business. Please help!! TYA
well you just said your site wasn't listed anymore, and then you say it has a good PR? Anyway, I'd recommend to buy your own webspace (which really isn't expensive anymore these days), and then just combine that one with your old domain, and you're good to go. free web hosters really aren't a solution
Hy, If you already have a domain waith pr3 (non co.cc), you can create subdomains on that web site, fr the content in co.cc domains and move them.
301 redirect to a new domain on self hosted servers Though if you are not listed on Google the perm redirect isn't really going to help in that regard, though it may benefit any backlinks you have - especially if .cc gets banned elsewhere and its the .cc extension that is the problem and nowt to do with your site it's self .
Google has banned all the co.cc domains from its index. You can use 301 redirects. But what I don't understand is that if your site has been banned from Google then how do you still get the traffic from Google?? You won't be getting any traffic now and the PR will also disappear in some time.
Yeah its strange that you are delisted yet still have a PR3 and traffic from them. You can setup your current domain as a domain redirect instead of web host or you can use php to do the redirect: <?php header("Location: http://newdomain.com"); ?> Code (markup): Or you could use a .htaccess redirect: RewriteRule .* http://newdomain.com [R=301,L] Code (markup): If you want more instruction there are plenty of resources on the internet that show you how to do this. I hope that helps mate.
Redirecting will not help pass the link juice in a way you want. This is the most abused black hat technique used in the SEO world where people buy domains with a PR and redirect it to their main money site hoping to get the link juice but this is immediately flagged as a doorway page and all the sites and the main site is also banned from the search results so its not worth it anyway!
You can upload an index.php file on your co.cc website and do a 301 redirect using it. More info on Php 301 redirects
301 is the most efficient method for web page redirection. You should preserve your search engine ranking for particular page. If you have to change file names or move pages around, It's a safe option. The code 301 is interpreted as moved permanently.
