    Hey,

I am installing wordpress for a friend, and I did everything, I changed the wp-config.php file, and I transferred everything using FileZilla. But when I go to where the url/wp-admin/install.php It says 404 not found. Yesterday I installed it said Wordpress had error connecting to database host. If anyone can help me with this problem I would appreciate it. Thanks

i guess you have wrong to fill in database name, user, and password...

You dont have to go there, just type domain and i thing it would be redirect automatically to installation page :)

I tried that but I think it is because the person have stuff on the website. You can check it out at forsmarterbuyers.com, Everytime I go to forsmarterbuyers.com/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php It does nothing.

You don't need to go to url/wp-admin/install.php jus fill in the correct database usrname/password in /url

Entering the correct DB username and password isn't always enough to know when installing wordpress.
Some hosts also require a custom hostname to be specified, other than "localhost" so you may wish to check on that as well. Other than that it's a pretty straight-forward process.

When you upload wordpress files to a live web site, you can install it by accessing that domain name.

Make sure that first you create database, its user and password through the control panel provided to you by hosting company.

Can anyone help me here in designing wordpress themes? I am looking to design wordpress themes and distribute it freely. This may sound like crazy but actual plan is to embed my website link in that themes which can bring traffic to my site.

Check your wp-config.php file for correct entries for database name and password, then try to install again.
