which is the pr utility now?

Google has become to distribute page rank, after nearly a year, for once I'm happy with the pr has been one of my sites.

But according to what was coming during the last days reading about the page rank, it had lost its importance and Google had not considered for position, in fact, why not updated.

So why have it in mind now?

 

pr has lost it's importance in your site ranking for many years now but there is still a good indicator for where to build links from and also has influence on links selling price

 

pr now works with panda and +1 i guess. work with them and see how it goes.

 

We can only guess the importance of PR. Nobody can predict for sure, I think. The truth is somewhere there

google didn't say anything about the importance of it.. but i don't think will add this PR thing for nothing, of course they still consider this measurement tool for something..

Yes good PR is very important.

 

Good PR is considered a must for many programs. People those who are providing paid to promote articles should have blogs of higher page rank, at least, to get higher pay.

 

I understand you are talking about toolbar PR.

It is important, for example, to selling sponsored reviews and to getting guest posts.

Toolbar PR is different from real PR. Real PR is updated constantly and used to rank pages for keywords in the SERPs. Toolbar PR is updated just a few times a year and is not used by the ranking algorithm.

 

People have been talking about the quality that is declining to attain a higher PR especially in this update, so there is no need to run after PR but its good if you have it.

Agree with you about the PR. PR that we see for a page is a just a recorded data for a particular day by Google and it keeps on changing and the actual PR for a site may be different than what we see.
But PR has nothing to do with the rankings directly Google states that "The Pages with higher PR is more likely to appear higher" but they are only likely to appear higher, higher PR doesn't guarantee higher rankings. It has been seen many times that sites with lower PR have outranked the sites with higher PR.

 

I have never had a problem with getting my websites rank ! I hear about other people dropping ranks on there website . Mines just got boosted !
