Hello to everyone. Can you tell me please, what I am doing wrong? Our company's website (PR4) keeps losing traffic. At this moment we have only 500 unique visitors per day. I've studied a lot about SEO | Marketing, but still feel like a newbie. - Content of our site is unique. We offer practically unique software at the market. - Meta information is correct (I mean keywords, descriptions, titles of each page). - Each link, image, Hx titles are related to keywords (upon standard). - Website submitted to directory listings about a month ago. Recently we've added social buttons (share, like, tweet, stumble, etc.) Also, we compose new articles to submit to highly rated websites. I suppose the keywords are not good and bring minimal traffic (rate). How to change my keywords? Do I need to change them at once or changing them gradually? How often Google updates position of our site by keywords? And how can I increase traffic with possible additional methods?
You can use some good keyword tools available like Google Adwords and Wordtracker to find some keywords that should have good search volume. May be the keywords you are targetting are of less volume with high competition. Try to determine some keywords with high volume and less competition and do some promotion for these keywords so that thry can rank high in SERP's to yield some goo traffic to your website. Also, I suggest to do SMO to attract some genuine traffic to your website.
Did you analyze the source of traffic to your site in the past and how it differs in the present context? Find out which source you are loosing out and the reasons for the same. Hope that will throw some light on the problem...

Thanks for reply. Yes, as I said before, we compose new articles to submit to highly rated websites or to our blog. Also we trying to get more traffic from social bookmarks. How can it be effective? Time will show. And can you give an advice concerning keywords? How often Google updates position of our site by keywords?
Social network , unique content and joining social bookmarking site increases my blogs traffic. Another way is if you have a blog you can try adgitizing
Just creating backlinks using your targeted keywords as anchor text. Be sure the backlinks are from high PR pages and they are at the same niche. Hope you will get some positive result.
You may want to check your keywords using Google Adwords and similar tools. Maybe you are not targeting the correct keywords. Google will re-index your site and rank your article with new keywords accordingly. As one member suggested, there could be a drop in customer interest, or may be your articles/website is not interesting enough. Or it could be your meta description is not compelling enough. Concerning social bookmarking What is more efficient: to put social button on each page or in the documentation / blog posts only? Are unique links in social bookmarks needed everywhere on pages (except documents and blog), or post links to main page?
To increase traffic you should submit link in web directories, write articles and submit in article directories, create facebook fan page and send request to friends. This will surely increase the traffic.
