Although I do not give answers to the free classified sites that you ask, I can only love a good suggestion you should have tabs or menus that help people navigate the categories of advertising back to the main page, at least.
What country are you from? Depending on your country but you should google similiar site of craiglist.. there are tons but you should only focus on the good ones that can you get a lot of traffic.

CRAIGSLIST is the number one way to go. everyone hops on that website. you can't beat the traffic that comes from craigslist.
Is this the thread people get to self promote in? I see a few folks already doing this. lol My suggestion would be to search google for these types of sites. The folks who post lists in this thread most likley never verified if they was still active or just filled with spam.
I would think the OP was about Free Classified websites and not about traffic exchange. An ad on a Free classifieds site will eventually create a good amount of TARGETED and QUALITY traffic. Linkreferral.com will send you, well, let's say low quality traffic. Whoever visits a site coming through linkreferral is not interested in your site, it's all about getting the 30 clicks and 5 reviews so their own site hopefully will rank higher in linkreferral's own directory and to receive some (low quality) traffic. Neither will you receive any true and honest site reviews because everyone is hoping for a good review of their site in exchange. Join linkreferral or any of the other 100 traffic exchange sites with the same or similar scheme, waste your time and maybe someday you will find out, you could have used that time for much more effective traffic generation and link building. Besides of that, if you are running Google Adsense on your site, programs like linkreferral are a great way to get banned from Adsense. It's against their policies since the traffic you will create to your site is not of a natural kind.

Craigslist is the best...its great for finding stuff you actually want to find...as well as looking at all of the ridiculous stuff people post on there
