I Could Use Some Advice on Advertising Options for My Site

I'm familiar with Adsense and I do have a site that makes a few bucks from it.
But what I need is advice on a site I started a site dedicated to a a Medieval History game.
Since it had a Medieval theme, I thought Amazon would be a good choice (put up ads for history books and such). Since I started with Amazon about 5 months ago I have almost 200 clicks, but not a single sale.
I think my traffic numbers are decent, well at least for me.
    From Google Analytics:
    Code:

    Mar 1, 2011 - Jun 26, 2011

    11,210 Visits

    203,958 Pageviews

    18.19 Pages/Visit

    31.56% Bounce Rate

    00:07:48 Avg. Time on Site

    35.52% % New Visits

So, with these numbers, what are some advertising options that I could try? I really have my doubts about Amazon right now. Like I said, I've had some success with Adsense, but is that all there is?

I've been looking into CPM ads, but with my numbers, what could I realistically hope to earn? I've read that some pay as little as 8 cents/1000 impressions - some as high as $10.00. Honestly, I'd be pleased with $1-$2. Is that possible?

If you're interested, the address is http://www.pressdat.com/mtw2.

    PLEASE KEEP IN MIND!
This is a "work in progress" and I know I have much re-designing to do. Please don't slam me on design. That will come later. The info is up and being accessed. I'm concentrating on capitalizing on current traffic.

Use CPA, it's much better in my opinion.

Adsense is much better then most CPM networks out there.
You are getting a handful of bucks through adsense because of the traffic percentage
So, instead of looking for another ad network why not work on your traffic first?

It's better you sell products/services in your website...

Clicks services (like Adsense) pay few cents per click, very low.

    Ok, got a few questions.

    Why???

I did try Adsense at first. Like someone said, the revenue was very low. About 3-5 cents a click.
Honestly, for me, the above traffic is pretty good so I thought I'd start there. Obviously, increasing traffic will be an priority in the future but for now, what is available for the traffic I have presently?

That's what I tried with Amazon. It sucked. I do have some ideas for some other items to offer but what would you recommend?

In some niches adsense is well worth it, but in something like your niche, adsense will only pay a few cents per click so I think you will be better off promoting Clickbank stuff etc. It's a tad out of my knowledge as far as the gaming stuff goes, but that's my two cents.:)

Can you tell me what makes Clickbank and/or Adbrite appealing? Clickbank just looks like a big affiliate deal. What makes them different from other affiliates?
As for Adbrite, I don't find their page very informative. Just the standard "We're the biggest.... We're the best......We pay the most".
Look, I appreciate the help and I'm not trying to be difficult.
But I've visited many places lately and it's getting frustrating because there is little that is useful on them. I'm honestly very new to this and have no idea what is offered or what is required. And like I said about the Adbrite page, they all say the same thing.
I was just hoping on getting some first-hand insight on the mechanics of some of these programs before I pull the trigger and join.
