Why So Slow?

Hey everyone, I have been using Google Adwords for some time to advertise my personal sites. The ones in my sig. Not alot, and I'm not making big money with them....yet anyways. Now, whenever I put up an ad for my sites within a few hours its being blasted across the internet and I start getting traffic up to my daily limit...

However about 2 or 3 days ago I started a new campaign and I'm trying out this whole affiliate and PPC thing. Now I've done my research, setup my landing pages, meta tags, setup all my ads and keywords.....However Google is not showing m y ads barely in 2-3 days they have had about 3111 impressions. My daily budget is set at like 1000 dollars a day......Yes 1000 dollars :) My click prices (bids) isn't getting me top position but about 4 - 6 positions... I don't understand?

Does adwords take a while to shoot you across the network when you make such a big campaign? How long does this take?

Any help would be greatly apprecaited. Thanks!

Are you saying that you've had 3111 impressions but no clicks?

1 click with 3111 impressions suggests that there's something wrong :)

But it's not to do with your daily budget because Google are giving you the *chance* to spend it all, after all they've shown your ads 3111 times ... it just so happens that whoever was doing the search didn't think your ad was going to deliver the goods.

Alternatively, your ads are showing up in positions 10 to 20 or higher, which isn't good. You'll get far fewer clicks than if you were placed 5 to 7 say (you don't need to be at the top number 1 slot to get ROI) ... thing is, I can't tell this, but you'll be able to see it in your Adwords reports.

    You need to either:

    - Make your creatives more enticing (sometimes easier said than done)
    - Check out your keywords and add plenty of negative keywords to stop irrelevant showings of your ads
    - Change your bid prices to make sure your ads hit the 5 to 7 spot before doing any more adjustments

Hope this helps. Continue asking questions if it doesn't :)

Well what I'm saying is that I got 3111 impresions the first day and now I'm not getting nay the last two days...why would that be? I'm not showing any ads got removed, I'm showing 5-7 position for most of my keywords some I'm a little farther down....

EDIT: Thanks for your help so far! I appreciate you taking the time to help :)

    mystickal,

when an ad gets over the 1000 impression range with no clicks you will see that google will start to allocate less and less impressions. they've shown your ad, given it a chance to acquire clicks, and it's not connecting with the searcher, for whatever reason. therefore, they're going to serve another ad instead, because otherwise they won't be effectively selling that inventory.

as fastimprovement suggested, take a look at your adcopy, your messaging, your call to action, your keywords, and your negative keywords (especially). sounds to me like your being lumped in with something unrelated, and therefore are gathering useless impressions.

don't give up, you're unlikely to get anything right on the first try. keep reworking it until you find the right combination.
