Hello everyone, I recently acquired a great domain, weblogger.co, and am planning to build a comprehensive blogging resource site out of it. My question for you all is this, what would you like to see or expect to see in such a website? I intend on having the basics like a directory and blog platform reviews, but what else? Thanks in advance!
four letter domains are hard to work with unless you can make them catchy acronyms and related content. what is your plan for it?
I'd love to see some articles related to good plugins, autoblogs, blog SEO etc. By the way, the domain was a very nice find, good luck with making your blog.
Well, I run a blog host myself, and I would like to see a good plugin directory, (easy to search, based on popularity), as well as blogging 'howto' articles. Also free templates/themes are hard to find... Your 'reviews' should consider what plugins are available in various hosts as well, there might be thousands of plugins available but only a handful are a 'must', (like twitter and so on). Lots of new bloggers want to see comments and new visitors right away, so maybe you could offer some kind of email service where users could sign up for certain topics or keywords. That way bloggers could 'discover' other bloggers that way. Or a way for users to promote their new blogs, (be careful of spammer!) And your resources should not be centred on Wordpress, (host/sites) and blogger only. While I am well aware that they are very big hosts you need to support the casual bloggers who just want to find out a bit more about blogging in general, (how to promote, join groups, share stories). Whatever you do, don't be tempted to charge for your site, or even have too many adverts. Your site must be good before you can even think of making money out of it. not the greatest name, but I guess you could use it for resources for wordpress. Or you could use it for people that want to complain about wordpress, (the 'fu' part) FFMG
