I rightly pointed out that you havent even scratched the surface of this topic and then you make blanket statements.
When someone makes a blanket statement like you did, I expect them to back it up with reason, so far you havent provided anything but alot of whining and crying. Usually when a person does that it shows they arent very confident about presenting a coherent response . Dont expect to state something as if it were fact then back out when someone calls you out on it. I stand by my advice to you, start on your journey and then if you arent satisfied and want to stand by your worldview go ahead, but when I see mindless dribble being posted (and believe me I have seen alot on dp), im gonna correct it.

If you dont want to be called out on your bs blanket statements then keep them to yourself please. Its better to look logical and not say anything then to post and redicule yourself in front of others, and please dont use the excuse of ignorance to back out of your supposed concrete blanket statements. If you want to look reasonable then go on your journey. There are plenty of people brought up in non religious countries that have come to the same conclusion that I have . As if the journey of truth is confined to a persons upbringing or the persons country.

Your right , I did respond to cient, but the statement about your ignorance still stand. You made a blanket statement with no proof (but the way you were brought up), and that to me is ignorance.

You also have a very blessed day
    God bless

Sounds like a blanket statement of BS to me. How would you know where his/her search led him/her? She/He may have taken a more direct path to God than you and may even now be 20 times smarter than you about what is God. How do you know you rightly pointed anything out? You need to think a little more before you type. :)

Who the fuck are you to tell him to keep quiet? He makes more sense than you do.

It's apparent that you do not understand what a blanket statement is? I would guess that he makes more sense to me because U are in close aggreement with him or maybe its some other emotional reason. When I asked him to clarify more on this blanket statement I got no response of reason or rational.
If that is making more sense than me, this is why I made the claim that as far as intellectuality and coherency atheists make very little sense and seem to cling to an infinite irrational skeptic response syndrome.

When I said he barely scratched the surface, that is not a blanket statement, its an assertion based upon the explanatory power of his statements.
I would say that you need to look up the meaning of a blanket statement, then come back and make a coherent response.

What I do give him credit for is having some spirituality beliefs, but he never gave his reponse as to why he rules God out.

As far as my statement asto atheist and theist responses that is not an assertion, its fact because the major atheist debaters are mainly popularists that not even their brethren take seriously.

If you want just one of many examples all you need to do is look at the habermas - flew debate where in independent panel of atheists, agnostics and theists unanimously gave the win to Habermas in which he gave excellent evidence for the historicity of Jesus and the resurrection. Even Flew himself who was an atheist himself was compelled by Habermas's argument . This was one of many issues that turned the great atheist philosopher of the 20th century to a belief in a creator (along with DNA and the cosmological argument). This bushranger is called providing a little meat to your point of view. All of which help to provide coherency.
All Wulkanen was make an statement and then backed himself under a rock by an appeal to how he grew up in his environment. If your gonna make a statement about something that is very important and dear to our souls then you should have a reason why you feel this way other then the way you grew up.

When I saw him make that statement, I immediatly thought of the waterboys mom from the movie saying "Foosballs from the devil"

Bushranger, one or 2 line statements may give you a feeling of comfort but they do little in the way of a coherent response.
Maybe you 2 can get together and surf for an online library and get caught up a bit:)

I did come down a bit hard on Wulkanen, for which I appologize, but its probably because Ive seen so many BLANKET STATEMENTS HERE ON DP.
Dont assume that Christians are that way just because of the way they are brought up.

Your thinking about Fideism, which is not what Christianity teaches.

I know there is a God and I don't need Mahummed or Jesus to tell me so. Neither do you. Is that blanket enough for you?

Bushranger believes that everyone is God and God is everyone and God is everywhere. A creed with no evidence whatsoever.

Correct on what I believe. Wrong on evidence. Evidence is every book ever written, including the religious books, every discovery ever made and all around you in the guise of life here on earth. Ask & ye shall have. You are God. Simple really.

    Upanishads:
The personal self and the ultimate imperishable impersonal self are one.

    Vedanta:
Not a part, not a mode of That, but identically That, that absolute Sprit of the World.

    Jesus:
Who hath seen me hath seen the Father.

This might help you understand God. It might be a bit too deep for some.

God is Universal Subconscious Mind, the intelligence that pervades all times and places, the design and order and consciousness of all things. God becomes things; He becomes all things; He has become you. God is not your body, not your ego, but your sense of being, your "I." There is only one "I" in the universe. The same sense of Self is in everyone. It appears to be different in life because it clothes itself in different forms. These forms wither and decay, but the Self is always one and indivisible and changeless. Every person that lives, every person that will ever live, every creature and thing, are all one in spirit. All are God, and each altogether is God.

Each of us is altogether God because infinite intelligence cannot divide itself. It makes a seeming division in flesh, but never in spirit, for infinity is always one and indivisible. God manifests completely in each thing, and each thing is a manifestation of God's knowledge of Himself. Your consciousness is God's consciousness. Your idea of yourself is God's idea of Himself. The ideas you accept are automatically manifested in life, for what God knows He creates, and what you know is created, for you are God.

Helvetti decided the rep system was a convenient way to deliver messages that could land you in federal penitentiary, or at minimum on a no-fly list:

    DP... bin laden fanboy red.jpg

Apparently hoped to anonymously harass those he disliked AND discredit Muslims by placing it so they'd get blame. Didn't work, but only staff was certain it was him 'til he whined to a buddy & they outted him publicly. Per the thread, this habit bought him a 1 yr ban. Oh well, life's tough, tougher when you're stupid. ;)

That's crazy to say the least mate. So bizarre, he seemed pretty composed and collected to an extent, when I conversed with him.

Amazing how a pretense of civility (or in his case, sanity) can wither when you see what some will say when they think they're entirely anonymous.

Integrity is about acting honorably even when you think nobody can see you. Looks like he fails that test.

He was a would be hacker making money out of blackhat , while sporting a ego the size of his country . He had a decent trolling capacity and he would go as far as to deny reality sometimes . Having received a similar message from, him i can't say that I'm surprised .

There is no need to prove anything. To believe, you need to have faith. Faith is a gift.

    The professor is not "gift-ed"

ROFL. I also got a red rep from hi in Hindi. " Teri maan ki land main teri baap ki chut " which means " In your dads pussy lies your mothers cock ". I know translation of languages can seem funny but the hindi version is even dumb and funnier than it looks in English..
