hey Jimbo.. how much storage have you used in your account?
"maybe" the 502 Bad Gateway error is caused by exceeding the 750MB limit
i created a test account using the same browser, same pc and same IP and it works just fine.. the error must be with wuploads end..

Nope it's not that - I'm premium and only have about 50-75 gigs uploaded so far. I'm happy for those who don't have the problem, but it's is very real for some of us.

 

And how do you get the files to your server from your home computer? Can you do it with a 50KBbs connection? What's wrong with remoting MY OWN files that I already spent days on uploading them to FS?

I still get the 502 Bad Gateway business...WTF?

 

Were any of you remote uploading when you got the 502 Bad Gateway error? Are your accounts premium?

 

Yes, premium account. I was remoting, and suddenly when I refreshed the page I got a 502 Bad Gateway. It has been like that for 4 days now...

 

use ftp, wont be a problem =)

I think the majority us have already cleared our cookies, boy we've even dipped them in milk, twirled it around a couple of times and sprinkled choc chip toppings all over them.

The point is, it doesn't seem like a problem on the user end.

 

Yeah, I am a premium user and I get the "gateway" error message. I tired everything (cleared cookies, etc., diffrent browser) all no go, I can not remote upload. I am stuck and can not create new posts to keep my upload work going.

 

It's very weird that the gateway error has not been fixed already since it is not a matter of fixing the remote upload function but rather allowing access to the remote upload page...

 

I have no problem with RUgateway, may be because I didn't update Firefox to latest version... just a guess.

 

But gstor11, do you fit the criteria?

1. Premium user
2. Heavy user of Remote Upload during the final promo period.

 

it's really weird that some are not affected by this error.

i have only less than 60gb in my account so the question of exceeding limit was the caused of the error is eliminated. the error looks like planted to some targeted affiliates.

i have a full respect with wup-management and willing to work with them but if this error is their way to curtail high earning affiliates to slow down earning during this promo period is unacceptable.

just started with wup about 2 weeks ago and earned almost 2k.

i hope i was wrong...

 

because 99% of uploaders did not have any remote or ftp server......

I meet the first one
with my 25kbps UP speed I am not really a heavy user, and I never RU...so no I dont meet the second one. However, The fact is was always able to access RU gateway with no problem.

You see, the problem coincided two major events
1. Last week of promo, which definitaly leads to server overload and would actually affect only "completion" status of RUs; and
2. It was exactly the time when Firefox issed new version. (I did not install it because it warned me that the Megakey plugin would not work... so I am quite happy with the current version). So..may be WU-502-error also has to deal with this.

 

I'm fixed 502 Bad Gateway error myself ^^
2days i can't remote upload but i solved it and it is working now

 

would you please also tell us what was the secrett?))

 

create a test account on wupload.
open remote upload page.
open another wupload page too...
log out from 2. page and login with real account.
back to 1st remote upload page and now this page is ru to your real account. ^^

after 1 time using this way ru fixed in your account too.
