Thanks! I did a search for JJ movies and didn't see anything. I hate Jesse just as much as you! he sat in front of me at a Cubs game and I refused to shake his hand. Then I put peanut shells on his shoulder.
Get your facts straight <insert choice> Jesse Jackson: Last Party and Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo [Dancer 8 - Uncredited] <racist> <traitor> <terrorist> <unpatriotic bastard>
ok, now I am laughing - thank you. Interesting how you wouldn't shake his hand. I think I would do the same. How many people would I not shake hands with? I would have to say not many. But here are some I could say I wouldn't: Saddam, Kim Jong-il, mohamad, richard butler, jesse jackson, farrahkan. I had dreams where I met clinton who I don't really respect in some ways, but I shook his hand and had some good talks with.
Hmmm.. Everything is a race issue really though. Come to think of it, every problem is related in some way to everything negative. It's interesting what Crazy_Rob and debunked said. I'd shake hands with anyone. Again, hatred, dislike and refusing-to-shake-someone's-hand isn't constructive and doesn't improve anything. ahahahah
Interesting read, but it seems to be missing the other 99% of the things he does. I wish people would come to America and be Americans, not try to change America into the countries they come from. I am not saying forget or lose their "flavor" but at least try to integrate into society. I will pull the racist card out now---- all the friends I have that are black, that have integrated into society, got educations, work jobs, run for government, etc.. are all free thinkers. Most of them have voiced there disdain for guys like Jesse Jackson. The one lady I know is running for Oregon senate in southern Oregon and she is going at it with no issues in her mind and southern Oregon has a lot of "good ol' boys" that are racist. OH, and she is republican if you couldn't tell. I suppose there will be those calling her name like they do to Rice.
All I know, is I'm glad I'm not black. I grew up in a 30-50% black neighborhood and I've seen some nasty stuff. Some of our neighbors put signs in their windows that read, "Niggers go home!" & "Niggers lower your property value!" That's not the worst- just the most blatent demonstration of people's hatred and racism. That was about 15 years ago- I think it's (a bit) better today.
WOW! I have never seen anything like that in real life and I thought 2 of the places I lived where considered racist - northern Idaho and southern oregon. Idaho had/has a number of neo-nazis up there but they mostly keep to themselves. What you describe is what I have seen in movies portraying the 30's to 50's not anything 15 years ago. The times I have heard that kind of talk was from people living in L.A. CA. Seems to be a lot of racism there still.
Yep, this was in the Chicago suburbs after they demolished the first set of housing projects in Chicago. Some of those people were given brand new houses in our neighborhood. As a result, the values did go down and more blacks moved in. It was pretty disgusting the way some of the people acted and treated these people. It's pretty strange, I sometimes drive into that neighborhood if I'm in the area and it's like 85% black people now. Chicago (land) is one of the most segregated areas in the country.
essentially gtech has shown that he thinks a gay or black jesus is bad, becasue he thinks blacks and gays are bad I have never seen so much racism until I moved to florida, everyone hates everyone down here, the blacks and whites hate each other and everyone hates the cubans When I moved here I knew it would be high spanish population, so figured it would be like the mexican neighborhoods I lived in Califorania, like the mission district in SF or in Santa Cruz, boy was I wrong. I don't know if its some cuban thing , like because of the boat lift or that many are "political" refugees or just general reflection of everyones racism but a lot of Cubans down here really seem to have a chip on their shoulder, its like if you don't speak spanish then screw you. almost Everyone so far I met down here that is white, and grew up in florida, loves George Bush and is racist as all hell. I have never been around adults , who have good jobs etc who call black people "niggers" till I moved down here.
What part of florida is like that? I have talked to people from Florida or who live in Florida and that kind of talk never came up. When were you in Santa Cruz?
I'm currently sifting theough the alleyways and byways of Tampa as a homeless college student. I haven't had any issues to deal with since I was dragged here in July
Had a brain tumor removed in 12/05 which caused us to spiral into homelessness. Evicted from apt in gainesville after recuperation. No work-nopay= no apartment. Presently at local VA hospital in library looking for work.
Sorry to here that. I hope you find something soon. What kind of work are you looking for? There are a lot of people on DP looking for services if you have programming skills, like to post, etc...
