I have one site that is a non english spoken site, and one thing that strikes me oddly, is the values that a see mentioned here.

    So my question is:
How much traffic do you have to generate that $$$ values?
And is this a question that violates the TOC?

Is there a big difference between English Sites and non-English?

    Thanks

well here's a simple calculation, assuming your site is related to technology and the placement of ads is good.

So lets say you wanna make $300 pm.

    $300 pm= 30* $10 per day.
$10 per day= 40* 25 cents per click( im just taking a average value)
40 clicks= 4000 unique visiters per day ( concidering you have a descent ad placement and you are getting 10% CTR)

    Also, 40 clicks= 8000 visitors( for 5% ctr)

this is a very rough estimation. if you are getting more traffic, then your earnings per click will rise, as more advertisers will bid on your site, for their ads to be placed.

I hope this will give you a very roough idea, and this is a simple calculation & I don't think it is against Adsense TOS!

It depends on the site, the topic, the ad placement, etc. there is no one answer for this question.

I think your calculations are wrong invincible, a 10% CTR with 40 clicks is 400 uniques :) 1% CTR with 4000 uniques is more like it.

Thanks for the replies so far..

My question is to understand how can we relate traffic and the amount earned.

Reading the example given by invincible.vib, in my case I see one thing that are not working for me.. I don't have a CTR of 10% and I can't manage to get that.

Maybe it's because my site is not in english which leads me to the second question... English is the language for making the big buck?

Yeah I just spotted that mistake too! Anyway 3.5~5% CTR is a more realistic value to use in my opinion.

Also rmachado you should also remember that forums, arcade sites etc... usually have a much lower CTR. That is in the case that your site fits one of the above categories. :)

It's not a forum, altough it has one ;).

I think the main problem is the ad click value that we have in our native language. That's why we don't have the amounts refered here.

Even the CTR is not has the typical values I see...

We are always trying to improve... but it's hard. ;)

The niche is also very important.
I have two sites making each about $10 a day. One has about 80 clicks per day while the other one has about 8 clicks per day...

    Both are non-english.

I think so. My site is in Dutch and I just started to translate it into English.

The clicks I got from my English pages (English ads) are more valuable than the ones I get on My Dutch pages.
