Is MySpace even a viable social network anymore, and worth the efforts it takes to network and make contacts? I was reading an article about several brands that may not be around for long and MySpace was listed as one of them. It really seems that MySpace has gone down hill since the ownership changed hands a few/several years ago. Is anyone having success on MySpace and what methods are you using to achieve that success?
I totally agree here. My feeling is that the only people who are using Myspace anymore are Bands. I use it with my band to network with other bands who have profiles on there. Now with Facebook fan pages it seems that everyone is just using that for their band page as its heaps easier to connect with your fans that way. Hope this helps MB
So true. MySpace only has musicians and bands nowadays.... Really is dying a slow death. ...Besides, aren't the MySpace guys in talks with another search engine to come out with a social networking site to rival Facebook?...Read about it somewhere in passing..but can't remember it exactly...
Myspace got a heavy downfall in its users and it has accepted this lost. Its interface is now designed to maintain its picture as what it was as it has decided not to change itself on the name of Competition.
i think mysapce has lost there position in the market too. i have also heared that they are going out of business in this year end or my be in starting of 2012 . is that correct ??
Myspace used to be up there before but now it is not of important anymore. It is useful though tp musicians just that the users of Myspace have reduced to a small amount.
Back in 2004 (when I was actually in the music business) it was insane. I had (and still do) an account with 38,000 "friends" on it. If I log in now and post a status update not one of them will comment on it...38,000 and I bet 3% of them are still active.

3% in 38k.. so true. Myspace lost its glory. Before people knew about such a site in my country, It's gone! Joined with it are bebo and hi5!
As pretty much everyone is probably going to say, I agree with this reply 100%. Even then, I am not sure if it's worth it.
Like most people said...only if you're a musician or into music in some way. Many bands used to promote their music using myspace and we must admit, it was a pretty good way of doing it.
