This website is nearly 3 years old. - The maximum revenue in a single month was $5 (in 3 years didn't reach half the required amount for payment) - Currently receives around 700 unique daily visitors. Anyone has any suggestion before i drop it?
Turn it into a forum. Anime is a very popular niche. If you want to let me go though, please let me know!
Users can create topics for any title but never been used more than a couple of times. People like websites were other people are active, this website never had many active users to start with...
I think the biggest problem is confusion. When I visited your site I had no clue what was going on...do people vote on their favorite character? I think a simple forum discussion would be best. Also the hypen in the URL isn't the best either.
However, forum management can be tough - automated spam is one of the biggest problem. Been there and lost my patience. xD
Unfortunately I stopped foruming for a while. Wasn't a very profitable venture. I'm just talking from past experience when I owned and sold forums.
The main problem of your site is becauseof dead/non-update content, there are just some characters and it is. No daily updates like other kind of sites in Anime section, such as anime streaming sites, they're update everyday.
I fail to see how having the hypen in the domain name is effecting his marketing strategy, there is nothing wrong with having one within a domain and nothing that prevents the site from being marketed correctly. The real question should be how have you marketed the site? PPC - Search Engine Ranks?
700 visits a day should bring in at least 300.00 a month. Might want to check how you use Google adsense and do split testing.
Might want to expand your affiliates from more then just adsense. Update content more regularly too. Put a poll up and find out what your traffic wants. Then give it to them.
It depends on what the niche of the site is, certain niches produce more results than others, if you can find out who your competitors are and what they are doing right, you can hopefully emulate them
