    I am new in SEO field and learning about on-page seo i have read about sitemap but i don't have an idea properly about site map, i wan to know about it and wan to know what its benefits?

    Benefits the sitemap is that the site will be indexed by search engine faster. Plus, the sitemap is a parameter that is responsible as is often the bot go to certain pages.

    A site-map is a list of links to different pages of a website.
    It has two main reasons:

    1) To be a guide for visitors
    to find their way around the website easily.

    2) To assist search engine spiders to crawl your website easily.

    Sitemap is a blueprint of structure of a website. It contains all information about internal links and structure of a site.
    Sitemap can be either generated from HTML or XML.
    HTML sitemap is generated for easy navigation of visitors throughout the website. It increases the visibilty of a site.
    XML sitemap specifically deals with indexing, that is robots from Google and Yahoo.

    Sitemap are of two types i.e. for user benefit known as html sitemap and spider benefit known as xml sitemap. XML sitemap are used, so that search engine spiders can indexed your site pages.

    sitemap.html is made for users because its easy to understand by a visitor. And sitemap.xml is placed for crawlers mainly for Google-bot.
    Crawling is a process in which a spider goes to a web page and then index it(keeps it in the database) then spiders other web pages that are linked out to that page.
