Startin a new forum problem....

yeah freaking facebook i basically donated 20 dollars for 4 days worth of ads.

Basically spread the word in as many ways as you can. Free is usually the most effective IMO.

Ads just don't give a good enough conversation ratio.

Basically find places where your target market is, and hook them in.

Try not to act "spammy" though. Use social engineering

 

I am trying to access it right now but seems like the forum site is down. Anyway - really cool way to attract visitors - contact your ISA and CSA - Indian Student Association and Chinese student association.

Make a section (for incoming international students) if you don't have one and see that area of your forums surge!

Another is to work on keywords - if you are high school senior - what words would you use to find UT? And start Adwords campaign...

Definitely use college football to your advantage more. College football is HUGE at UT.

i need traffic before that can happen. I dont think making sports forum a main forum will work...

 

crap! Last weekend when somebody searched utexas forums my site came up 4th and its on the 2nd page! Can anyone tell me whats going on?
