What are some ways people use SEO, SEM, and SMM? I've been using Google Analytics and AdWords for SEO and the usual outlets for SMM i.e. Facebook, Twitter, etc. I wouldn't say im a SEO expert but I do know a couple of things but wouldn't hurt to hear more tips from other people. Backlinks are the most important in off page SEO. The more you have the merrier!! Not to fast though.
With regards to On Page SEO, I just wanted to add that I've found meta tags to barely be useful anymore in the most popular search engines. As of recently its all about content. Focus on writing articles with a reasonable keyword density (2-5%, but always keep quality over density).
