Hi. I am writing an ebook and i have following queries relating to it. 1. Please suggest me any software in which i can disable right click, disable CTRL+C and anything by which content can be copied and pasted. It should have password feature to read and also to edit the contents. Also link to that software from where i can download. 2. I want a feature/script (or whatever it is called.) where i can limit the chances of piracy and selling my ebook without my permission or giving away for free. Something like user can download it (or read it online. If it is better. ) from one unique link which is available for one time only or accessible to that ip only. I need your suggestions. Sorry if this is the wrong place. I believed this as the appropriate section to post it.
Hope this helps If you want to prevent copying of a document, then don't place it on a web server in the first place. That's the only way to ensure that no one can copy it. In some buggy browsers applying align to some elements (e.g. tables) makes it impossible to select the text inside that element. But the page can still be saved. With JavaScript you can try to muck about with the browser functionality (disabling the right click, etc.) but you can't do anything that can't be circumvented. When a browser receives a page from your server it stores a copy of that page on the user's computer. Once the file is there it can be accessed like any other file. Even if you turn all your text into a graphic and screw search engines and the users with visual disabilities by not supplying an alt text the user can still run that graphic through and OCR program. Or they can just type the text out again.
Thanks for your effort but Sorry i didn't get you. Please explain in simple words. I will sell it in pdf file so need any pdf software which can disable right click etc and other features.
I think the simplest explanation is that it's impossible, perhaps adding it to a win zip archive and password protect it and only give the password to certain people?
I read you first reply 3 times and now understand what you meant to say. (I don't know much about coding etc. ) This is a good idea. But there is always a possibility that the buyer will give away it for free or sell it without permission. Can you please tell me software in which i can create pdf file and add images in it too? Looking for other replies
