Several years ago, I read an article written by Danny Sullivan, in that post, he pointed out the top ten list of search ranking factors at that time and gave average scores to each of them(below). 1, Title Tag - 4.57 2, Anchor Text of Links - 4.46 3, Keyword Use in Document Text - 4.38 4, Accessibility of Document - 4.31 5, Links to Document from Site-Internal Pages - 4.15 6, Primary Subject Matter of Site - 4.00 7, External Links to Linking Pages - 3.92 8, Link Popularity of Site in Topical Community - 3.77 9, Global Link Popularity of Site - 3.69 10, Keyword Spamming - 3.69 Now in 2011, many things have changed, the most obvious is the release of Google Big Panda algorithm, so the ranking factors above also should have another look, what's the top ten list of search ranking factors in 2011 ?
The first and foremost factor for ranking is an unique content...Panda is mainly programmed to detect the copied content and get them penalized. So in 2011, priority goes for content.
Yes, absolutely right. Quality content is central. And it helps to have fresh content, which is why good blogs are so good on your website. Websites that stay the same, with nothing new risk sinking down the rankings. so add a new blog to your site or a new video which is relevant and useful. With the right tools - Powerpoint (on a PC) and Camtasia its very easy to make good quality videos which can enhance your site. Customer reviews are now increasingly important as well
I have found a very good article about search engine ranking factors in seomoz. So who is interested-go there to read it.
But how to explain that there are still a lot of bad quality websites on the first page of Google? Many unique content sites just moved way down...
i wonder if those scores are actually accurate. community and popularity of link on internal pages just doesn't seem correct. course this is just speculation.
well I am eye to eye with this guy because after panda algorithm google notify this so we should try to update unique contant...
